Sometimes finding comfort in the small things can make the day a little better. As I created this series of Peanut Butter Jars, I discovered that we can be gentle to each other and ourselves by seeking comfort in the everyday things of life. To me peanut butter is the ultimate comfort food. It’s salty, tasty and satisfying. As I worked on these paintings the simplicity of this staple reminded me of the joy we can find in small things.
