There are places we visit that leave an impact. The Delicate Arch in Utah is a beautiful sight. I spent a great deal of time studying the photo I took that day and trying to see beyond what was in the image. I recalled the way I felt the day I hiked the trail. When I arrived at the arch I remember sitting down and being mesmerized by the sheer size of it. I painted three versions of the Arch to convey the joy and contentment this enormous structure evoked in me.
